Catching Up!

It has been brought to my attention that I am a blogging world fugitive. So here I am to update everyone on what's been happening in our little world. :) Thanks for the push girls! Things are going really well at the Nelson household. Kaitlyn is sleeping in a big girl bed, is completely potty trained, wears panties even at night, and has not had an accident so far.

This pregnancy is flying by overall and I cannot believe we are halfway there. (I will be 20 weeks this Thursday.) Although I do have days where thinking about being pregnant for the entire rest of the year seems daunting! I felt the baby move for the first time last Thursday and have felt some good strong movement since then. Ben has even been able to feel it move which is pretty exciting. We had our ultrasound last week and everything looks good, two arms, two legs, all of that. We didn't find out the gender but we did get a quick peek between the legs and all I saw was dead space, so I am guessing this is another girl. Ben, however, swears he saw something between the legs and is convinced it's a boy. This should be fun. :) Only 20 more weeks to go!

Kaitlyn never fails to amaze me with the things that come out of her mouth. She has little phrases she uses constantly throughout the day. One of her favorites is "I just don't want to though." Oh the fun of having a two year old. :)

Yesterday we were in the car and she said "Mom, look at me, I'm smelling with my nose." And then proceeded to suck air in through her nostrils as hard as she could. Then she wanted me to try it. When I did she thought that was hilarious and we did that until I had to get out to pump gas. When I was done at the gas station she asked me to do it again, which I did, if a little less enthusiastically, and she told me, in a very matter-of-fact voice, "Mom, you have to be funny."

She's very into picking out what she wants to wear for the day. Luckily for the most part it's dresses so there's not too much mismatching going on, that would drive me crazy. She's all about "I do it myself" even when she can't, and has now begun to tell me "No, I'm the boss!"

She likes to rub and poke my ever expanding belly and made some comment about my belly button today. Last week I asked if she wanted to talk to the baby and she said yes. So she lifted my shirt and said "Hi baby. Ummm, I yur yister. I love you baby." And proceeded to gently rub my stomach. Oh my goodness that just melted my heart.

Absolutely precious. I love hearing about K and the new baby! She's going to be an amazing big sister!

Thanks for the chuckle with the smelling story! That's too stinking cute! She's one smart cookie.

Oh, btw....Ruthie is always saying, "But, I don't want to Mom." Where did the sweet innocent little ones go?!?

Look at that cute little belly. Miss K always cracks me up! She looks like such a big girl in her bed. Can't wait to meet the new little one (I'm betting on boy...)
